Now that the Greyhound station has opened at the transportation hub, what's the timeline for moving Rosa Parks bus station to the hub?

Thought I read somewhere last year that that was the next thing to go over there . . . .

That was what was up at DDRB this past week. Likely 18ish months.

Plus, I don’t think Rosa Parks is going away entirely.

Rosa Parks isn't going anywhere. It will remain after the new center opens.

What's going to happen to the old bus station? Will it get torn down and an empty lot will be there, or has someone purchased that property and development of some sort (proposed) is being considered or imminent?

the fella that owns the EverBank building (along with a few other parcels) bought it for almost 3MM. No plans have been announced, but since we moved down here in 2012 I have heard talk about a parking garage going in there. because, you know, 3 garages next to each other makes sense..... ::)
LOLOL...in Jacksonville? You gotta have parking garages in close proximity to each other, and, they provide critical and crucial "in fill."

Was talking to someone this morning involved with the old Greyhound site that was just torn down.

Short-term plan is for surface parking for TIAA.

Their goal for the property in the next couple of years is a "Miami-style" tower.

Primarily, if not exclusively office, though a residential component isn't out of the question.

Rates would be highest in the city.

Can't wait to see the breathtaking views of asphalt for the next 20 years. Simply breathtaking.

Serious question... how will an aquarium be integrated into the building?

Didn't hear it from me, but floors 80-95 will be a rotating aquarium, allowing fish 360 degree views of the city.

Only downside is that the aquarium will only be accessible via inbound gondola from the Southbank.

Well, when the city is willing to subsidize the ramps like they have, there is a tendency for the subsidized good to be overproduced.
