Now in Baymeadows:

Maple Street Biscuit Co. is moving into Baymeadows to open another of its community-focused restaurants.
The Jacksonville-based company will open in late summer at 8358 Point Meadows Drive, near Baymeadows Road and Interstate 295.

It will be in the Point Meadows strip retail center behind Walgreens and near the shopping center anchored by Winn-Dixie and Stein Mart.

Partner Gus Evans said Maple Street will lease the 2,879-square-foot store and employ 20-25 people.

He and Maple Street co-founder Scott Moore said they believed “this was a good area for us to be in and be a part of the community there.”

It will be the 11th Maple Street Biscuit Co., which they founded in 2012.

The others are in San Marco, Murray Hill, Julington Creek, Fleming Island, Jacksonville Beach, St. Augustine, Gainesville, Tallahassee and Chattanooga, Tenn., and soon a second in Tallahassee.

The restaurants are open 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
