Is it racism because the black community doesn't go out and protest black-on-black violence? Why is it that a white person perpetuating violence on a black person brings every protester from near and far but black-on-black violence doesn't raise an eyebrow among the black community? Is that racism? Sorry, I forgot that only whites can be racist. Blacks don't even like whites protesting for their causes. What does that say? I am very tired of the "all whites are racist" mantra. Instead of integrating, they are segregating.

Much of the problem is also the race hustlers: "Rev." Al Sharpton, "Rev." Jesse Jackson, and their sort. Both make a living (and a very comfortable living) running around screaming racism at every white person they can find. This "preacher" is just another one of these hustlers. Many black murders are gang/drug related. We can protest that until the cows come home and it won't change a thing. When families are fragmented and kids raise themselves, can we expect anything else? People are going to Hell everyday and this preacher's main concern is racism? He has his priorities backwards, but no surprise considering the strange birds found in pulpits today.

Without jobs for people with very little education this will continue. Personally i see the violence connected to the lack of jobs that can support the lower educated people. Year back there were low skill jobs but they are in china now...with the desperation comes madness. The violence  the drug use and homelessness can be helped by manufacturers creating jobs for those without higher education.

There are plenty of jobs available for people with little education...anything in the construction industry, for one. Get in there and get some experience in any of the trades and you'll have a job for life that you can take anywhere. The restaurant industry is another outlet for learning and taking anywhere. There are tons of jobs that are out there...but the person, no matter the race, has to want it/be motivated to go get that job. Unfortunately, when someone is receiving money each month from the government that is just as much, or more, why would they be motivated to go out and work for the money?
But to your original point...there are plenty jobs available.

Try reading the local paper. Just because FoxNews doesn't cover it doesn't mean there aren't people trying to deter crime in their communities.....

Pastors call for state of emergency, curfew in Jacksonville's gang violence-prone neighborhoods



A group of pastors is calling on city and state authorities to declare a temporary state of emergency and impose a 9 p.m. curfew in Jacksonville’s high-crime neighborhoods where there is known gang activity including violence.
Pastor Kenneth Adkins of Greater Dimensions Christian Fellowship in Brunswick, Ga., said he represents about 40 pastors in Jacksonville asking Sheriff John Rutherford, Mayor Alvin Brown or Gov. Rick Scott to use their authority to designate those areas in a state of emergency so “nobody is on the streets so that the police department can do their part in making Jacksonville a safe community once again.”

He plans to deliver letters from those pastors supporting that action to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and City Hall beginning at 9 a.m. Monday. Adkins also said he’ll send a similar letter by overnight delivery to Scott.

“The issue is not to arrest innocent people. The issue is to stop the shooting, stop the senseless killing. Sometimes extreme situations take extreme answers,” Adkins said.

Adkins, accompanied by Pastor Ardel Jones of Life at the River International church in Arlington, announced that effort Sunday at Tyler and Windle streets at a makeshift memorial for two women who were gunned down Thursday in a drive-by shooting that the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has said was gang related.

Sherika Edwards died at the scene while Shelmika Felton was pronounced dead at the hospital following the shooting in which a man also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

“I feel like Jacksonville is becoming a war zone … and we have to take back our streets,” Jones said.

The pastor had a good point concerning the hypocrisy of music companies being a conduit in promoting black on black violence; Although nowadays with the state of the internet effecting the music industry, many rappers are successfully going indie, and now they can rap about everything violence on their own label.

im not trying to be harsh to you man. Jackson and Sharpton are just shit talkers, the things they say and do have very little value. Most violence in the black community starts with the single black moms and is THEN promoted by white owned media to spread the fear. James Brown is rolling in his grave because quite frankly its a WOMANS WORLD lol.....women control American Society, they set the rules, this magnified in the black community. Go to any ghetto you will find a large number of american born black women and their offspring, the male offspring rarely produce because MAMA doesnt raise them to. Raising a male is a males job. These worthless males grow up to be criminals, bums and men who dont desire women. And the black community has a high percentage of these guys.
