What do yall think about the building's exterior? IMO it looks pretty good. It's not to cartoony, and it kinda has a Jaguar color scheme going on. :)

Sweet Pete's has a new TV venture with Office Depot. In the wake of its star turn on Marcus Lemonis' "The Profit," Downtown Jacksonville candy shop Sweet Pete’s was recently featured in a commercial for Office Depot and Office Max products.

They did a fantastic job with this old building. The space is well utilized inside and it's a neat mix of restaurant / candy shop / event space. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't yet - they do have more than just candy.

We went in there during the last Art Walk and it was very busy, a steady stream of customers for both the candy store and the restaurant. And the porch was full of diners and visitors; a great place to congregate.

I believe this is going to be quite the tourist attraction.

^ and it was...for more than a decade!

in fact, its still a stop for many visitors to Jax.

I invite you to spend some time at the Landing during One Spark.  I'm willing to bet it is lively and fun.

Despite its faults, the Landing is perhaps the best gathering place we have in downtown right now. Every out of town guest I've taken there have enjoyed it. Sweet Pete's will be an excellent addition to that area.

We took some out of town guests to both Sweet Pete's and the Landing for the past two weekends. You probably don't have to guess which they enjoyed more. (One guest was in her 50s... the other in her 20s.) The Landing is in bad need of... something. (Though I do wonder how long a candy store will remain novel enough to draw a crowd.)

^ Probably why it's more then just a candy shop, right?

Two side notes: Landing was pretty dead but Hemming was jumping. Tons of families. Everyone having fun. Just awesome to hang out and enjoy the scene.

there was an easter egg hunt in hemming Park yesterday

The Landing was pretty busy during the day Saturday....several community walks (one for victims of domestic violence) going on.

Probably the Landing best attribute " The View"
