Located on the westside of Jacksonville, AllianceFlorida at Cecil Commerce Center is a first class, master planned multimodal business park being developed by Hillwood Investment Properties. Prior to life as a business center, the  4,474-acre site served as Naval Air Station (NAS) Cecil Field.

Glad to see that Cecil is still tied strongly to aviation. Never quit understood the rationale to close Cecil and keep Jax NAS open. Cecil certainly seemed to have more room for expansion and more room overall.

NAS Jax serves a different purpose.  They should have shut down the master jet base in Virginia Beach instead. Unfortunately, their political influence on base closure decisions is a lot stronger than ours.
