Thanks Bill, sorry I missed you.
Decent crowd for a Tuesday night.
4 businesses pitched their ideas.
-Wolf and Cub, the newest creation by Emily Moody (who also previously started Anamoy in Five Points and Underbelly downtown), is a clothing store looking to open downtown. Wolf and Cub offers "one of a kind jewelry, hand screen printed clothing, hand picked vintage and unique products that stand out in a crowd"
-Renaissance Jax is a company that has a machine shop near CORK (dubbed the regional robotics center) and is looking to start a robotics program for up to 2,000 Duval County high school students and expand STEM educational opportunities within Duval County schools. Renaissance recently showcased the potential of this innovative program through a just completed summer camp through Meros Academy (held at CORK-Meros was also a One Spark creator), and also has a partnership with UNF.
-Vagabound Coffee is looking to open an artisan coffee shop in San Marco and Downtown. They now do pop up events around town (including the Brew pop up coffee shop inside the Library during One Spark) and recently opened a mobile coffee trailer.
-MAD Nails runs a pop up shop on Sundays at Rain Dogs in Five Points and is looking at opening a high end couture salon in downtown Jacksonville. Ladies REALLY dig her work.
**All of these presenters also participated in One Spark
By popular vote, Vagabond Coffee was awarded $465 in prize money donated by attendees at Food Fun(d), to help them fund the next stage of opening a permanent presence for their new small business.
Thanks to all that came out and donated!
