That new Bulkhead will be a nice benefit. Checked it out when I was down at RAM. Is it all privately funded? Any plans for a floating dock? Will be a nice addition and another Destination activity.

Have the Riverwalk extend all the way to Memorial Park with a 'pier walk'. A long, stand-alone walkway 40 yards offshore that meanders over the river (separate from land--which would satisfy much of the property owners concerns and give a different 'over water' walk experience) in front of the Cummer all the way to Memorial Park.

The administration is looking at that sidewalk that leads straight to the river next to the new Bulkhead? Can anyone help out with the question is it Public or Private?

Is there a PUBLIC sidewalk next to the new BULKHEAD?
It's not a RAIL line. Anyone.

Might depend on if it is on Cummer's private property.

What if it's Public property.
Folio did a huge story a few years ago about all the waterfront Public Acess street ends. Greenwood Ave. was the story. The property owner took 10 or was it 20' of the Public Access with a brick wall. let's not forget Palmer Terrace on the Southside. Check out that gate and lock.

And of coarse Jacksonville's favorite District mix up. The Shipyards Pier. And a special thanks to Jimmy Midyette for pointing it out on another thread.

What is known regarding the plans surrounding support vs. opposition of a possible true extension of the Northbank Riverwalk to the end of Post St.?

From the culmination of stakeholder and neighbors' opinion, I just doubt it will ever reach Memorial Park directly.

Had lunch today and the gate was open to the Public or is it Private sidewalk and the new Bulkhead that was never before Waterways looks great. Why two levels to the top of the new Bulkhead?

Heard back and it's a PRIVATE sidewalk that happened to be open that day and next to the new Bulkhead that was never before Waterways. Looking forward to the pics in the next Urban Core Construction update. Thank you Tera Meeks and Dave Roman.
