Metro Jacksonville gets an inside look at new nightlife and music venue 1904 Bar, set to open on March 7 (Art Walk) at its space on Ocean Street.

I popped in there at the last Art Walk and got to talk to the owners a bit. It's a really, really cool space. It has all the makings of a terrific addition to downtown.

The space and location look promising...hopefully the ambiance/atmosphere/decor is stepped up before opening...but I'm always happy for any establishment opening in the core.

Huh? It's not a dance club. Aren't those things WAY less important at a live music venue?

Great. Someday I willl get that weekly Jacksonville Pub Walk (tour) together and this is another potential stop or ending location.
