Michael is a very good guy.  And I know I'm biased*, but Jacksonville Area Legal Aid is one of the finest nonprofits, and finest law firms, in the City of Jacksonville.

They do amazing work and deserve the support of the community.

*(I used to work there and still support JALA with donations of time to help their clients.)

I agree wholeheartedly, Jimmy. I clerked with Legal Aid in Tennessee during law school, and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

The attorneys and staff at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid are phenomenal and provide a greatly needed service to this area especially during these tough economic times. I encourage everyone to donate to Jacksonville Legal Aid to ensure access to justice for everyone. You can contribute through JALA's website at https://app.etapestry.com/hosted/JacksonvilleAreaLegalAidI/OnlineDonation.html.

What impresses me about the JALA attorneys is how optimistic, almost 'bubbly' they are about their job and their clients. It really squashes the typical notion of who attorneys are and what they do.

He's going to do amazing things in Oklahoma.  And his departure is a great opportunity for JALA to find fresh leadership.

Yes, JALA now needs leadership from someone with a high profile in our legal community, who can be successful with badly needed fund raising.
