Once again, a Jacksonville competitor finds a way to quickly implement major mass transit improvements for an affordable cost through no-frills, effective, low-cost solutions.  Today, Metro Jacksonville takes a look at the Charlotte Sprinter and ponders why can't JTA take lessons and follow suit with their own bus rapid transit plans?

Simple. People at JTA lacks the common sense and responsibility. At the same time, they maintain a full apathy around issues in the system.

The only way to truly overhaul JTA is to remove the state agency status and give the pink slips to every executive positions in JTA.

I can guarantee you that you will see some progress. I am willing to put $200 down if this happens.

Is it worth $200? I surely think so. Any takers?

^The real way to go may be to just branch off public transportation from the road infrastructure and building functions. I think they do pretty solid work on road building.

⇧ I don't think they should be involved in road building period. The only job that JTA should focus on is Affordable and Reliable Mass Transit. The only types of pavement JTA should be laying down should be in the form of bikeways and walkways so people can have multi-modal access to their mass transit systems.
