^ I thought the defense was decent, holding the Colts to 2 offensive TD's.  They prevented the Colts from converting on a number of 3rd & 4th downs.  Unfortunately, the Colts did the same to our offense for a good part of the game keeping the defense on the field.  The defense also stopped several red zone touchdowns for the Colts and made 3 turnovers.  Given it's the opening game, I would give them at least a B or B+.

If they can limit opponents consistently to 2 offensive scores and our offense lives up to expectations (including not turning over the ball much), I would consider that the foundation for a very successful season  8).

Good start to the season... defense needs work...
Sorry you couldn't watch the game BT.  Actually, I think the defense outplayed the offense.

Yeah… my impression of the defense was based on highlights and total score

Broadcast coverage of Jags v. KC on CBS this weekend... about 1/2 of the country.  Game is the pink coverage area.

They’re bad again. Pederson has not had the team ready any game this year and is showing no emotion on the sideline. And now two in London. Woof.

I think a big part of it is the low self-esteem around the franchise historically. Suddenly we have expectation and they're not used to pressure and can't handle it.

From what I see, the Texans and Colts are only going to have the one transitional year now. Stroud looks solid working with next to nothing, his best weapon appears to be a third round rookie and Richardson is a freak raw athlete who will only get better with more experience, so I hope we don't live to rue this "easy year".

In the last episode of 'The Hunt', Doug P was asked if this was a playoff caliber football team. His reply: "We'll find out".  He knew.

I'm trying something new this year where I don't allow myself to massively overreact or panic based on the results of single games. Sure was tough after yesterday. But the season is young. We've got tons of talent. Cam Robinson is still out. Calvin Ridley is clearly a little banged up. And, even in our two losses, if a few plays would have gone our way (particularly those four TDs that were just an inch out of bounds against the Chiefs), games could have gone in the other direction.

Two things I'm 100% sure about:

1) We've got the talent to be a playoff team
2) Press Taylor should not be calling the plays for this team. Difference was night and day first half vs. second. Trevor shouldn't be handcuffed into putting 50% of offensive plays into runs up the middle and short screens.
