Right now I'm just wondering how long after the clock strikes 0 next Sunday will it take for Gene Smith to be fired. Unfortunately, a front office shakeup, the draft and new uniforms are the only things to look forward to at this point. With that said, it should be interesting.

As expected they put shorts on IR. Its only game left. No sense to chance anything on a meaningless game. Let him get well. He's seems like my little brother and I HATE to seem him getting hit like that. He's the only reason Ive been watching the games. Oh well, guess I will sleep through the Titans game Sunday. LOL!!

Yes! I dont care for Gene usually, but that article was well written and right on point. His article about Gabbert was also. The fan support has been amazing. I think we are learning how to be real fans, which means weathering the storm even when things get bad. I think this is sign of a maturing fan base. Thats even speaking for myself. I came in as a Jags fan in 2010 when we were just okay. After this season, I was wondering if I was going to renew my tickets. I was never a football fan before going to Jags game, so I thought it would be easy to walk away. But, Im hooked. LOL!!  As of today, thats no longer a question. Im actually going to get even better tickets for next season  ;D

Well Henne reminded us who he is after the first drive, special teams break down completely.  Ladies and Gentlemen, your 2012 Jacksonville Jaguars

I dont think anybody really expected anything different for this game. Henne had ugly turnover, but the special teams break down is what lost the game. Oh well whatever its over. But two players I wanna see stick around: Jordan Shipley and Keith Tolston. Jordan shipley is exactly what we need to add depth to our WR's. I loved Tolston ever since the preseason, but If I remember correctly he got injuried and that was pretty much why we didnt sign him. But he looked like a baby MJD out there. He is fast and extremely powerful. We need to keep him around.

Mercifully... it is over.  Commence the gutting... and begin planning the rebuild...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

I feel bad celebrating that man just got fired on New Years Eve, but he simply wasn't getting the job done. Business isn't about friends and family, it's about results. With that said, I hope Mr. Khan finds a great replacement. Wouldn't mind a new coach as well. A clean, new start would be great.

lol damn, it's Gene Smith's birthday today too... Ah well.

Don't feel bad. What other job can you be at that you fail at for four years, get sacked because of your terrible job, but still get paid for the next two years. I have no sympathy.

If you or I get fired, we are lucky to get our last paycheck.

He wont be without a job long. He has 17 years experience in scouting and personnal. He will get a job somewhere, just not as a GM. Great guy, just had some really bad luck couple with a few bad picks. I wish him the though. At the end of the day, we forget they are human beings. I wish him well and look forward to us moving forward.
