The Hastings Potato Growers Association was organized in 1922 by a small group of farmers. This building was erected in 1927 by the association at a cost of approximately $40,000.

This building was erected for the Hastings Motor Company in 1927. In 1929, it reopened as Stanton Motors. Stanton was a dealer for the Ford Motor Company.

Completed in 1924, the former Hastings High School is now used as the town's administrative center.
