11. Unity Plaza and 220 Riverside
Construction of the 220 Riverside mixed-use development at the intersection of Riverside Avenue and Forest Street continues. 220 Riverside will feature 18,000 square feet of retail and 294 apartment units overlooking a public space (Unity Plaza) when complete later this year. In addition, Philadelphia-based award-winning celebrity chef Kevin Sbraga, will open the Brooklyn Commons at 220 Riverside. While construction continues, 220 Riverside's first residents began moving in on May, 4, 2015.

12. The Brooklyn Riverside
Construction continues on Pollack Shores Real Estate Group's Brooklyn Riverside development. The $24.8 million infill project will consist of 310 apartment units when complete. Plans call for 185 one-bedroom and 125 two-bedroom units.

13. Brooklyn Station
Construction continues on retail outparcels at Brooklyn Station. Future tenants in the $14.7 million 49,870 square foot retail center include Zoes Kitchen, Burrito Gallery, Burger Fi, The Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops, Navy Federal Credit Union, and The Pink Nickel.

14. Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center
Construction is underway on the JTA's Jacksonville Regional Transit Center's (JRTC) BRT stations at the Skyway's Convention Center station.
15. Laura Apartments
Ron Chamblin, owner of the city's largest independent bookstore, is in the process of restoring a three story building at 225 North Laura Street. When complete, the 100-year-old building will include six apartments above street level retail.

16. Cowford Chophouse
The restoration of the historic Bostwick Building is finally underway. Forking Amazing Restaurants intends to convert the structure into an upscale steakhouse restaurant called the Cowford Chophouse. When complete in summer 2016, the two floor dining establishment will feature a rooftop lounge with spectacular views of the city.
17. Riverside YMCA
More than a year after the groundbreaking ceremony, construction is underway on the new YMCA on Riverside Avenue. The new facility will be 72,000 square feet, about 8,000 square feet bigger than the current one, which was built in the 1950s. Work is expected to take 15 months.

18. Johnstone Supply (see Riverside project locator map)
Johnstone Supply is investing $650,000 to renovate 500 Park Street into a new 25,494-square foot showroom for the airconditioning business.
