Major construction projects have returned to the landscape of Jacksonville's urban core. Find out where (and more) as we take a brief look at the status of various developments under construction in and around Downtown Jacksonville during the month of January.




RIVERSIDE/AVONDALE





20. Droubi's Coffee Shop

Droubi’s Coffee Shop is planned in Riverside at 915 King St. The $30,000, 900 square foot project will be located next to Old School Electric Tattoo.






21. The Annex

The Annex will be opening soon at 1508 King Street. The Annex will offer roughly 30 craft beers on tap.

22. Alewife

Alewife will move into the former Riverside Liquors and Village Wine Shop and open soon. The 2,574-square-foot bar will offer more than 400 different beers for retail sale as well as a tasting bar consisting of six draft lines of continually rotating American craft beer.

23. Happy Grilled Cheese

Happy Grilled Cheese is opening a brick and mortar across the street in the original Cozy Tea space.

24. Five Points Village

Local burger chain M Shack's newest location at Five Points Village is nearing completion. Other tenants coming to shopping center in Five Points include high-end Japanese restaurant Kaika Teppanyaki, and the Hot Wok Chinese restaurant.

25. 1034 Park Street

The former Caribbean Connections space at 1034 Park Street is in the process of being converted into a bar.
