A New Look for Avondale's St. Johns Village Project

In preparation for tonight's Commander redevelopment Town Hall meeting, Metro Jacksonville shares revised conceptual drawings for the Fishweir Creek project.




Proposed 3-story building in center of parcel. First story commercial, second and third stories residential.


Proposed residential tower, as viewed from Big Fishweir Creek. Nine stories on left, rising to 14 stories on right. First 3 stories to be open parking garage.


Proposed residential tower, as viewed from St. Johns Avenue side of parcel. Seven stories on right, rising to 9 stories on left. First 3 stories to be open parking garage.


No elevation available for views of residential tower from river or adjacent historical houses, but plan calls for 14-story tower at corner of Big Fishweir and Little Fishweir Creeks (facing the river), scaling down to 9 stories along Little Fishweir Creek side.









Councilman Jim Love will host a Town Hall / Mediation meeting on Wednesday, July 17th, 2013, to discuss the St. Johns Village project / PUD and site plan (Legislation # 2013-341 & 2013-342).  

The  meeting will be held at the FSCJ / Kent Campus Auditorium (Park St. at Blanding Blvd.) from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Representatives of the St. Johns Village development, nearby residents, and other interested parties are invited to attend.
