I posted a link to some photos in the Park View thread by a young man who had done some ninja photography of it.

He posted this from a trip to Daytona on another website: surf-station.com

The narrative is his.

So my family was staying in Daytona Beach/Ormond Beach (?) and saw this hotel at night that looked abadoned. My gf and I waited till morning to look at the site to see if it was abadoned or just a construction site. Sure enough it had been abandoned. This one is called Surfside Resort and Suites..

the front of the hotel...

And this room actually got us to leave. It was a bums room pretty fresh looking 4 stories up. Clothes, back packs, toothbrush, deodarent, shavers, girls hygiene products, and a twilight the book. The chairs pushed into the wall plus that was enough to say goodbye for now. Didn't want to see what was next 9 7 stories up.....me only being one guy and then my gf with no weapon = no safety. Only another year untill I can get my concealed weapons permit.

and then took one more walking out.

There's a debranded Executive Inn near I-20 west and Fulton Industrial near Six Flags Over Georgia.
It was a total crack and ho operation for years. It was shut down last June for multiple (hundreds) code violations.

It's amazing to me that beach front property can just sit like that.

Now we have beachfront property for all the people who want it in Jax, but who instead panhandle for change downtown.

The first pictured hotel is in Ormond Beach, about 2 miles from me. I usually see it when I go for a bike rdie on the beach. It has been abandoned since the 2004 hurricane season. There are several properties along Ocean Avenue (A1A) like this. There are quite a few large empty oceanfront lots where hotels had stood for decades.

Recently we have also had several suspicious fires at tourist/ T-Shirt shops along A1A.
