SPAR hiring a new Executive Director
« on: November 13, 2017, 11:07:58 AM »
Hello city, civic & urban minded folks,

As seen in the local media, Christina Parrish Stone has stepped down as Executive Director of Springfield Preservation and Revitalization (SPAR) to take a position with Friends of Hemming Park. She'll be an amazing asset to Hemming Park, just as she was to SPAR.

Of course, this leaves an opening for a new Executive Director at SPAR. A flexible schedule, competative compensation, and an engaged board and community are a few of the things the new Executive Director can look forward to. Full job description & how to apply at link below.

Here's the official statement:

Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council (SPAR) is now hiring an Executive Director.

SPAR was established in 1974 to serve Jacksonville's Springfield historic district neighborhood, a one square mile residential and commercial area just north of Downtown Jacksonville. The organization works with City of Jacksonville, developers, organizations and individuals to help build and preserve its unique community through advocacy, events and education.

Today, both the neighborhood and organization are in the midst of an exciting transformation, with many opportunities to pursue and an updated strategic plan to guide.

Bill, what is the salary range for this position?

It will vary widely based on the individual and their skills/needs. Ideally, it will be in line with other orgs of a similar size/mission (ie, RAP, Groundwork Jax, etc).
