January Main Street Cruise: Flirting with Disaster...

Dave Hlubek, founder of the Molly Hatchet band and the only original member still playing with the current band will be at the cruise on January 26th!! Bring your albums and even your guitars for him to autograph. If you are into Southern Rock, Dave is "the Man". He is the one who wrote "Flirtin with Disaster" and most of their other hits. We still have to determine the time, but he will be at the Krystal.

This month we will have DJ Lon Greenwood (4th and Main) spinning the hits and broadcasting on 95.5FM. At the Krystal (10th and Main) "Beau and the Burners" will be tuning it up with some live music starting at 5pm. Dave Hulbek of Molly Hatchet will be at the Krystal from 6pm to 7pm to sign autographs. Bring your original albums for him to sign or he has some nice pictures for 5 bucks. The cruise is going to be BIG this month. Get there early!! BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!! As always we appreciate Phil Amato and Channel 12 for helping us with this GREAT local event!!! Also Todd Fletcher, District Manager of Krystal and the Krystal Company have been on-board with us from the beginning. Krystal and Channel 12 believed when no one else did!!

Great turn out last night. 

I noticed the sounds from Main Street more than anything else last night.  As we walked from 12th to 2nd and back to 12th again, we went from one group of sounds to another -- music, cars, laughter.  People thick enough that you heard  "excuse me" to get by.  Kids running around the previously empty lots, playing hide-in-go seek in the brush. 

And then, there was this...a chance to meet Dave Hlubek and get his autograph.

What a VIBRANT night on Main Street.  Thank you John Wells!

This has been a huge success, and a source of aggravation for me  Sometimes I go to my moms house after choir rehearsal. We rehearse on Union street so I usually take Main street to her house and always forget about the cruise! Im usually screaming " WTF is everybody driving so damn SLOW!!!" I'll remember one day and take some back streets !!! LMBO
