I don't agree they are trying to overthrow the government, but they do use the government to advance their personal aims, including but not limited to financial and ideological goals.
If we thought really hard, we could name a few Liberal/progressive persons and entities which do the same thing.
Mostly, these folks are angling for money and or market share protection. Ideology is always secondary, if it exists at all.
Make no mistake about it, this is the American Taliban. A few business interests, sure. But this is cold calculated networked methodical takeover of government, and the overthrow of the american society as we know it.
The problem with these wealthy fools is the same as all similar fools throughout history.
Look no further than the Bleichroeders, Bismarks, Hohenstaufens, Warburgs and Rothschilds.
You cannot unharness the forces of ignorance, reaction (meaning in the old political sense) and religion in the name of your profits without becoming the arbitraty victims of them.
In the meantime, surely we are a better society for having seen these previous examples. And we do not need to repeat the cycle for millions of the small people just so that a few have to learn this same bitter lesson again.
