S&S Cafeteria still operates in Georgia with 5 cafeteria's, South Carolina with 2 cafeteria's and Tennessee with 1 cafeteria. http://www.sscafeterias.com/locations.htm

Piccadilly may be on the way out in Jacksonville, Fl.? But it still has 6 other cafeteria's in Florida. And several other cafeteria's in AL=4, GA=14, LA=20, MO=1, MS=6, TN=8, TX=2 and VA=5

Ryan's Steakhouse left Jacksonville several years ago but can still be found. The nearest one can be found in WAYCROSS, GA 31501 just 71.69 miles from Jacksonville, Fl.

Check the Locations & Hours for more Ryan's locations in Florida and several other states. http://www.ryans.com/#
But McBean was quite wrong. I’m quite happy to say.
That the Sneetches got really quite smart on that day.
The day they decided that Sneetches are Sneetches.
And no kind of Sneetch is the best on the beaches.
That day, all the Sneetches forgot about stars and whether
They had one, or not, upon thars

As long as there is a Gators Barbecue on Westside and Callahan Barbecue in Callahan, I will survive.

^^ I know a few of the chains I mentioned earlier still exist but they are no where near the number they used to be 15-20 years ago.

I have eaten at the Boston Butt Hutt Ribs and Chicken in Callahan. I have enjoyed the smoked chicken with beans and fries with sweet tea.  :)

Yummmmm...it is just my own observation or does sweet tea somehow taste better the closer one gets to Georgia?

Maybe? But Winn Dixie has an Ice Tea that is Very Good it's called "Winn Dixie hot brewed Southern Style Tea" I prefer the Sweetened and the One Gallon Jug has a photo of "The Grove" in Tallahassee Florida on it. It costs more but worth every penny.  :D

The only Piccadilly that's left in Jax is on 3216 S. University Blvd.

Would not want to even guess.  No doubt its days are numbered.
