Movie to be filmed in St. AugustineSpecial to The Record | Posted: Wednesday, December 5, 2007 ; Updated: 11:39 AM on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 Clubhouse Kids will come to town to film a major motion picture, "The Year Of Easter," scheduled for release in the theaters in one year. The movie, also being filmed in Canton, Ga., is a flashback from the present day to 1957. The movie gently touches on the issues of that time period from early Rock 'n' Roll music stars to boyfriends, church, pre-Civil rights and a time of great joy and deep loss for the little girl during that one year ... from one Easter to the next. The movie is considered a family movie. Even though the story is based on true characters and events, there is also fiction and storytelling. Clubhouse Kids Productions is producing the film along with Cool New Media. Both companies are based in Atlanta. Clubhouse Kids television shows have been broadcast on the Warner Brothers Network, NBC, CBS and PBS affiliates, and Cool New Media has broadcast television specials and films on PBS and have several national commercials for Delta and other companies running at this time. Yvonne Rice and James Cool are directing the movie. Film dates are scheduled for Dec. 27-30. Help is needed for the film: Vintage cars from 1950-57; a baby carriage circa 1950-57 and clothes from the '50s, restaurants to help feed a hungry cast and crew and perhaps to cater on the set (anyone who can help will be mentioned in the movie credits); and crowds of movie extras, of all ages (extras will not be financially compensated but names will appear on the credits of the movie). The movie promo/trailer can be downloaded at www.basiclux.com/easter.
