Great pictures, thanks for sharing!
Ditto on the BOA issue, it frustrates me to see one of our signature towers sitting dark.

Re: Downtown Jacksonville at Night
This is my first post on here. I'm stationed as a weather observer at NAS JAX. I have to admit, Jax has an alright skyline. I have seen previous pics of the BOA lit up, why'd they stop it?

Re: Downtown Jacksonville at Night
Its a mystery to all. I, as well as others, have called to ask what the problem is and was given the runaround. A few that I talked to didn't know the tower even had lights!

Re: Downtown Jacksonville at Night
A thought on the BOA lights... (and bear in mind, I have no idea whether or not this is the case)
Part of environmental consciousness is reduced energy use (as we all know), and also reduction of light pollution in urban areas. An aspect of LEED certification involves reducing light pollution focused upward. It is suggested that buildings focus their outside lighting down to reduce the adverse effects of city lights on the surrounding wildlife (specifically birds).
Birds notwithstanding, they may be trying to conserve energy use in the building after hours.
*shrug*
Just a thought.

Re: Downtown Jacksonville at Night
Not a bad thought. To light those roof panels as well as they were would easily require quite a few thousand watts of HID ligthing.

Re: Downtown Jacksonville at Night
One gripe about the MNF crew; If you highlight a bridge in a city that hosts the game, you might wanna know the name of the bridge; How many times do they gotta say things like "the bridges here in Jax" without knowing the name of the Main Street Bridge that they highlighted like eighty times? Everything gotta be the damn Brooklyn, or Golden Gate for natl' media to say a bridge name?
