TRAX is a two-line, 19 mile/24 station light rail system that began operating in Salt Lake City in 1999.  As of July 2006, metropolitan Jacksonville had 210,275 more residents than metropolitan Salt Lake City.

Our transit system is a joke.  Finally JTA comes up with a plan to improve end user conditions, without taxpayer dollars and some civic groups, including DVI and JaxPride, are opposed because some shelters would include advertising space, such as this.  Jacksonville isn't Mayberry anymore.  It's time to grow up and here's why.

In 1997, a new 3-mile busway loop known as the “LYMMO” was introduced to the streets of downtown Orlando.  The LYMMO serves as a free downtown people mover or shuttle service running on a continuous loop throughout the central business district.  For whatever reason, consultants continue to promote this system as good example of what Adams could resemble if they had their way with it.
