MetroJacksonville is proud to present a documentary focussing on the future of transit in Jacksonville. This presentation was prepared for the City Council's Transportation, Energy & Utilities Committee meeting, which was held February 20th 2008 at 10am. 

Like Jacksonville's Skyway, the Detroit People Mover is an elevated and automated people mover system serving the downtown core.

On January 10, 2008, the FDOT hosted a public hearing to showcase their plans for a new $147.65 million transportation hub.   

On December 12, elected officials joined the public to commemorate the official start of streetcar operations between Seattle's downtown core and the fast-growing South Lake Union neighborhood.

Charlotte's first light rail line officially opened on Novemeber 25, 2007.  Transit officials estimate over 60,000 people waited up to two hours in line to ride during the first day.  Will Jacksonvillians come out like this when BRT blesses our streets?
